Still alive

We haven't updated the blog since late 2008.
Still in the same house and all are well.
Hopefully next update will be sooner.
It's a wet & windy February day today (windsday as Pooh said). But Harry and I still ventured out for a walk on the golf course - which was empty btw.

At Last ............

At last, we're done with the build. We're happy with the conversion and the extension. We have also updated the kitchen. It feels like a new house!

The build "journey" was a bumpy one, but we learnt a lot, and it hasn't scaed us from going through it again, BUT it will have to be a long time to.

Building Progress Report - 3rd April 2007

The build has been "dead" for a couple of weeks now, but today they arrived and we're back on track - though somewhat delayed, but hey what's new in the wonderful(?) world of building.
This is one heck of a journey!!

The drains is being laid today and the brick work will start later today.

A lot of material (stones, bricks, breeze blocks, mortar, pipes, etc..) arrived earlier today. The front yard really looks like a building site now.

Building Project - 06 March 2007

We're in to the second week of the buidling project.

The builders were back today and got on with the roof on the new garage - see picture. They worked hard and got a lot done.

The old garage (brown garage door) will be converted into a dinning/living area. We will knock through into the kitchen which is at the back of the house.

It's all starting to look like something now. And we're still very optimistic. No excessive drinking has started yet (yet).

Building Project

Hi,

The extension - new garage - is now underway. Building project is a scary and new thing for us, but we learn a lot and remain positive and optimistic.

More later....

Sunny weekend in Edinburgh

The last weekend (17 & 18 Feb) was a glorious weekend. The sun was shining and the temperature was pleasant as well.

The weekend went by with golf, painting and dog walking (of course). We have painting the master bedroom and the shower room. The rooms looks and feel great! Anita did a fantastic job!

Benjamin had the task of dismantling the old master bedroom furniture - more firewood for the fireplace when the weather is better and we're sitting outside in the evnings. He did a great job!!

Walter and Harry (our two Scottish Westhighland Terriers) had plenty of long walks this weekend. Walter's eyesight is not getting any better - he just had his 12th birthday by the way. Harry on the other hand (11 months) is all over the place - nothing wrong with him.

So that was our busy weekend. Bjorn did manage to sneak in a couple of hours of golf on Sunday afternoon.
Hi,

This is my first attempt to start a blog.
